180 Days To Columbia Wegmans: Signs Are Up

It's 180 days to the scheduled opening of the Columbia Wegmans -- June 17, 2012.

You can see the sign above on Snowden River Parkway.  They have similar ones along McGaw Road as well.

Check back for all the HowChow posts about Wegmans.  Or join the Facebook group I Want The Columbia, Md. Wegmans.  People post pictures and news there, and any group member can add anyone to the group.  So feel free.

How long until the hoods in Columbia tag this wall?

I saw the signs up while leaving Royal Taj on Saturday. It's getting to be exciting.

HowChow....just took a drive to Olney last night to try the Corned Beef King at the Exxon station in the center of town. It was awesome! Melt in your mouth Corned Beef, amazing reubins.....everything was wonderful. It is a food truck and they are doing a great business. Worth the 15 min. drive from River Hill/Clarksville. From talking to the owner last night we should look for a Washington Post review in the next couple of weeks.

The countdown is correct, but it's actually June 17th that they open (not July 17th).

Whoops! Thanks Anon. I fixed the date. When errors last on the site, you can tell that Mrs. HowChow has been too busy to read the posts.

Is there any chance this Wegmans will be 24 hours? With a baby it's great to go out to Harris Teeter late to do some shopping. I've been to some wegmans that were 24 Hrs (State College, Williamsport PA)

But all of the ones in the area close at midnight.

Nevermind, checked out their job page. 6AM-Midnight.

That's a little bit of a bummer.
