Corner Stable Building In Kings Contrivance

Corner Stable will replace the shuttered Michael's Pub in Columbia's Kings Contrivance village center.

Anyone know the time line for this expansion of the Cockeysville restaurant?  Construction is certainly underway, and they have ripped the place back to mostly raw space.  I walked past on a late-season visit for Rita's wild black cherry gelati.

I heard they are targeting October 1st as an opening date

@Anon -- I'd love it, but Oct. 1 seems unrealistic to me. This week, there weren't walls, lights, floors, etc. I can't imagine that they could be ready in a matter of a few weeks.

The security guard in the shopping center said October but no specific date.

This is a segment from the August 15th Baltimore Sun article on the subject quoating the current owner of the Corner Stable, Chip Reed:

Look for an opening date in Columbia of Oct. 15, Chip Reed said. "They were starting the demo this morning," he told me. "We're on our way."

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT eat at this restaurant based on the sole principle that the owners are some of the worst people I have ever met. They treat their employees like they are pieces of trash they picked up off the street and are free to toss in the garbage when they are done playing with them. They are racist and do not respect those who have children and families. The yell obscenities at their employees all day and tell them to watch their back or they will be fired. Karma always comes back and someone needs to teach these people a lesson that you cannot treat people this way.
