Link: Sonic May Come to Ellicott City

Sonic has plans to come to Ellicott City, according to Jessica on the Examiner.  She has a short piece about the first Sonic in Baltimore County and mentions plans for the city and Howard County.

Thanks to Brian for the tip.

I heard on WTOP at least a year ago that there were plans to build a whole bunch of Sonics in the DC metro area, but then could never find any info online. Having spent part of my life in Texas where going to Sonic can be a daily event, I am so so so excited!! Thanks for the scoop!

Howchow, this is sooo exciting, thanks so much for sharing!!
As someone who grew up in the midwest, I miss my daily Cherry Limeade (during happy hour, of course) fix dearly! This may mean that I can live in Maryland long-term!!

Whenever I see a sonic commercial, I muble to myself "yeah, but where's there a sonic?" . I guess that answers that.

I've been waiting for this for a long time. I was convinced that if I opened a sonic in the area, it would do well, because of the endless sonic commercials, but the closest sonic being at least 2 hrs away.... wasn't ready to quit my day job over that hypothesis, but.... i'm sure it'll do well... at least I'll be going there a few times.

This is almost as good as Wegman's coming to Columbia. I see the commercials & I think, "Where's there a Sonic around here"

So wait? Not one comment about the burger? Go for the Cherry Limeade but not the burger? Ehhhh... see, I always thought there was something wrong about a burger joint that doesn't offer ketchup on the burgers.

I would never eat a burger without ketchup. And it has to be Heinz.

Neighborhood rumor has it that the Elkridge McDonalds on Washington Blvd that had a fire last Dec is being rebuilt as a Sonic. Can't find anything online about this. Anyone know?

I understand that it will reopen as a McDonalds
