Pratt Street Ale House To Open A Columbia Location In The Old Rocky Run, Aiming For Fall

The former Rocky Run restaurant in Columbia will be reborn as a beer joint owned by the people who own Pratt Street Ale House, reports the Beer in Baltimore blog.

Look for 50 draft lines, an outdoor patio, and the name Columbia Ale House, BinB reports.  They're aiming for September.

HowChow,

Great scoop. All my sources, including a chat with the demolition guys, came up empty.

Nice addition to the Dobbin Road corridor.

@Wordbones -- I can't claim a scoop. The BinB blog got the news, and someone was kind enough to leave me a link as a comment on Monday's post. I'm just happy to pass along the news!

This will be awesome. Maybe it will distribute the beer drinker on Dobbin a little more and I can actually get a parking spot in the Frisco parking lot instead of down the road.

This actually not good news to me because that parking lot and drive is already often overcrowded due to the popularity of Pei Wei and the seasonal H&R Block traffic. I remember the year we had a lot of snow, it once took me 40 minutes to get from the Fuddruckers parking lot back out to Dobbin Road. I don't think Frisco Taphouse & Brewery will be to happy to hear this either.

That entire area is undoubtedly about to become a giant traffic snarl.

Its already a mess and now with Wegmans, Columbia Ale House, the Starbucks crossing the street, Frisco down the road ... Not complaining, but I think we all need to realize what a traffic hell that area is about to become.
