A new ice cream shop appears to be opening in downtown Ellicott City, reports Marcia. Unfortunately, she was driving and saw the sign too late to catch the full time:
It's down at the bottom of the hill heading toward the Trolley Stop. I didn't catch the name - begins with an "L" (LuLu's???)
Anyone know the details of new ice cream on Main Street in Ellicott City?

It's the same question someone asked here: http://howchow.blogspot.com/2011/12/bistro-blanc-opening-chefs-table.html
It's next to the psychic reading place, just down from the Obladi. Yes, the name is something like Lulu's. Not sure that is it, but two syllables with L's. The sign says there will be ice cream, and also references a hot dog cart. The sign has been there for a while (since at least December) but don't know any more....
I have a big Chevy Suburban so am usually fully occupied trying to drive down Main St. and not hit any of the badly parked cars. Today is the first time I noticed that sign. Thanks Jenny
It is LaLa's. It's run by the same people who own Pepperjack's in Laurel. They're also running a hot dog cart outside of the Owen Brown shopping center - I chatted with the hot dog cart guys for a while this past friday and got the whole scoop. (good dogs btw...$2 for a wide variety of toppings. I went with my standard mustard and sauerkraut. Very nice.)

I'm pretty sure it's called "Lala's"
