Ginza of Tokyo -- Opened Near JHU Applied Physics Lab
Ginza of Tokyo opened Friday night in the shopping center with La Palapa Too near the JHU Applied Physics Lab. This is a new Japanese restaurant on Johns Hopkins Road just west of Rte 29. We stopped for a menu, but we already had dinner plans.
My wife and I have eaten there 4 times , and they ALWAYS do a fantastic job. We have 2 young children and they go out of their way to help the children have a great time. My youngest daughter (3) LOVES WATCHING THEM COOK Hibichi , and the food is incredible. The sushi is pretty decent , not as good as it could be. some of thier "speciality " rolls are lacking - but all in all - not too bad if you only have 1 or 2 rolls as an sppitizer while waiting for the steak/chicken. -Will White
I agree that their sushi lacks specialty rolls. But still they have a decent selection of rolls and Nigiri shushi, and the sushi is always very fresh. Also their sushi prices are very reasonable compare to some of other sushi places in the area. Considering their prices, and freshness, I would recommand to try them. Also, their Hibachi cooking is the best I have ever had.
These guys are incredible. My son is allergic to shrimp and we asked the manager about it. He told me that they can take care of us, sat us at the hibachi grill. Server cleaned the grill again after taking our order, chef cooked my son's meal before cooking shrimps for other people at the table. Oh, the food was so good, and my son can not wait until our next visit. Two thumbs way up for these guys.
These guys arelinstening. I went there last week, and hey have added some special sushi choices. These special rolls are available every day with special pricing on different rolls on different days. These rolls are unique and the roll I have tried, Marti Gras roll, was excellent. I will definitely try other rolls next time I go there.
