Pints & Pancakes returns to T-Bonz with a morning -- and then an afternoon -- of breakfast, beer and bands, reports the Baltimore Beer Guy.
The events starts at 10 am, and the two bands run until 6 pm. Beers are craft lines with a Christmas in July theme. (They're listed on the BBG site.) For a $5 cover, you get pancakes and music. T-Bonz will be serving a la carte food as well.
T-Bonz Grille & Pub in Ellicott City has become one of the better local beer bars, according to the experts.

Join the Howard County Pub Crawl to try out the best in local craft beer this weekend.
T-Bonz is sponsoring transportation so that people can try what the Baltimore Beer Guy calls "Howard County's four elite beer bars." For $50 a head, you get transportation, four five-ounce beers at each stop, and then food at T-Bonz. The bars are T-Bonz, Frisco Grille, Victoria Gastro Pub and The Judges Bench.

Link: BBG Says T Bonz Is One Of The Top Beer Bars
T-Bonz Grille & Pub in Ellicott City has turned itself into one of the best beer bars in Howard County, according to the Baltimore Beer Guy -- my source on the subject:
This announcement means that I need to update my post about Beer in Howard County.
Hidden gem T-Bonz in Ellicott City keeps doing good things. So many, in fact, that I've had to adjust my Howard County beer stratification to include them. Gone is the Holy Trinity, arrived is the Big Four, the Mighty Rectangle of Liquid Delight the ... anything to do with four, basically. T-Bonz has ascended and can now safely join Frisco Grille, Victoria Gastro Pub and The Judges Bench as craft beer elite in Howard County.I stumbled on T-Bonz two years ago and thought it would be a great place to watch the NFL. The BBG writes about improvements that T-Bonz has made, including 12 craft beer taps (with more planned), an updated Website, and special events. There is also talk of May 22 pub crawl with a bus stopping at all of the BBG's top four.

Pancakes and Beer at T-Bonz
Pancakes and beer -- a crazy combination, but one that may work next Sunday when the T-Bonz Grille & Pub in Ellicott City serves interesting beers made with coffee, banana bread, oatmeal and more.
I heard about the "Pints and Pancakes" promotion from the Baltimore Beer Guy blog, who was the first to highlight T-Bonz's craft beer credibility. (And from whom I stole the photo.)
For a $5 cover, you get a free pancake breakfast from 10 am to 2 pm and the opportunity to buy "breakfast style" beers. I love the sound of the Flying Dog Coffee Stout. There will also be music by The Grilled Lincolns.

T-Bonz Grille & Pub in Ellicott City
With the NFL season upon us, you sometimes need a place where you can devour football with a plate of food on the side. That's the time to settle in at T-Bonz Grille & Pub in Ellicott City.
On top of the football, T-Bonz offers live music all fall -- every Saturday night and every other Friday. Again, that the kind of draw that would turn some wings and a burger into a fun night.
(Update: The Baltimore Beer Guy blog posted in January 2010 about the beer selection at T-Bonz. The BBG absolutely recommends the craft beer selection:
T-Bonz is a restaurant and bar hidden behind a strip shopping center at the intersections of Waterloo Road (Rte 104) and Montgomery Road (Rte 103). There are television screens in every direction with the full Direct TV package advertised for this season. This is the Baltimore side of Howard County with tasteful Ravens decorations and a few period pieces from the Colts.
While you're rooting, there is food. A wide menu of pub food -- wings, potato skins, burgers, sandwiches, salads -- and American entrees like crab cakes, chicken Parmesan, baked salmon, and steaks. My lunchtime BBQ pork sandwich was good. The coleslaw was actually the high point, plus I got fries. T-Bonz is a real kitchen, not just a bar. Even in mid-afternoon, the bartender told another guest that what he wanted wasn't on the menu, but she could go ask if the kitchen would make it for him. There are specials every day, including half-priced burgers on Mondays.
(Just don't whine that it's not "Chowhound" food. The U.S. Foodservices semi was parked outside when I left (which is why I have no photo), so go for what T-Bonz offers knowing that the menu advertises "sushi grade" tuna, but then blackens the fish and tops it with bleu cheese.)

Lo and behold its actually a legit craft beer bar as well, with around 10 taps and an interesting collection of bottles and seasonal themed offerings. Nobody talks about them but seriously they're probably the best (craft beer) thing going in Howard County after the Holy Trinity that is Frisco Grille/The Judges Bench/Victoria Gastro Pub.By April 2010, the BBG had decided that T-Bonz had earned a spot on his top list. The Holy Trinity is out. He is looking for a metaphor with four parts.)
