New Maple Lawn Steakhouse Won't Be Jordan's

The new steakhouse planned for Maple Lawn may still open in November, but it won't include the owner of the now-closed Jordan's Steakhouse, according to the Howard County Times.

The Times reported yesterday that it received an email from Carlos Venegas, the owner of Ranazul tapas restaurant and one of the partners behind the steakhouse to replace Oz Chophouse. The email told the Times that Venegas still plans to open a steakhouse across from Ranazul in Fulton. But he says the venture will not include Jordan Naftal and has a working name of "Carlos' Steakhouse."

Thanks to Paul for the tip. (Update: Elizabeth Large posted about this as well.)

I don't really know where to leave this comment, but I just wanted to let everyone know that the Dutch country farmers market formerly of Burtonsville has relocated to laurel next to the home depot off route 1. The final inspection is scheduled for this weekend! and if all goes it should open up labor day weekend! I work at the veggie stand in the market, so I've gotten a sneak peak and its gorgeous, everything is brand new and the building is huge! theres lots of room for customers to walk around, no more bumping into eachother. Hopefully all the old customers will make the trip to the new market!

Veggie -- I got an email from the market, and I was going to post on Monday morning. Do you have a photo -- even a cellphone photo -- of the new place? My email is on the side of the blog: howchow at gmail.

Good to hear that Jordan is not participating in this venture. Based on this, I will for sure check out the new steak house when it opens.
