I wonder how that will work out, with a Safeway in the same plaza. Granted that Safeway seems to have slipped a bit with produce over the past year, so if Target has better quality it might work out just fine.
If it's anything like the produce section at the Target in north Silver Spring (Cherry Hill Rd near Rt 29), the selection will be small but of decent quality. The SS Target was recently expanded into a SuperTarget, with fresh meats and produce plus a greatly expanded freezer section. The fresh section is no substitute for a real supermarket, but it's convenient for the basics. If I recall correctly, all the produce is pre-packaged rather than loose.

ReplyDeleteProduce is in stock at the Ellicott City Target now! I was there last night. I think perrik is correct, it was all packaged.
