Has the tart frozen yogurt fad started to ebb? Iceberry -- one of several Rte 40 outlets for tart yogurt -- has papered windows and people tearing out the interior, says Little Audrey.
Little Audrey was the first person to mention the sign going up in July 2010, so it seems fitting that she would report about it coming to an end. I'm still a fan of Tutti Frutti, across Rte 40 from Iceberry in Ellicott City.
Yes, Iceberry definitely has closed. My wife and kids found out the hard way when they went there one day after shopping for video games at Gamestop. Oh well, at least we still have Tutti Frutti and Yogi Castle.
ReplyDeleteSince this is the last post, I thought I would inform everyone that they re-opened in the same spot. I asked an employee why the map shows it as a Tutti Frutti, and she said, "I don't know, but we did close to renovate for a while."
ReplyDeleteIt is nice with seating in front and back, and a nice neon/chalkboard wall that changes color. Italian orange was incredible...
They seem to have closed...again. They had started serving Bubble Tea and Smoothies in early September, then sometime later that month the owner mentioned they might be moving to Columbia but it wasn't final. Now they are closed altogether. Anyone have any information?
ReplyDeleteIt looks like it is reopening (or maybe already has reopened) as Frostberry - another froyo operation. There is a Yelp review of one in Laurel - not sure if this is a franchise or just another locally-owned outfit.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to drive by and see what's happening. They actually re-branded as Frostberry a month or so before closing in September...the manager explained it was an agreement that had something to do with their bubble tea recipes. The sign has remained up on the storefront, will have to go look and see if they're really up and running.
