The property owner pulled permit B09001673 in July, as noted below by Lotsabogeys. The party store had a big space, and Brendela wrote below that one of the Party, Party, Party cashiers told her that the landlord wanted to split the space in two.
The Columbia Mall Five Guys just opened in July. This second location seems to serve a very different area. It will also be close enough to Mango Grove to create some interesting options for a "vegetarian Indian and then a burger" adventures.
When Party Party Party was closing I was talking to one of the cashiers. She said that the landlord wouldn't renew the store's lease because they planned to split the store's space in two. So if Five Guys is moving in there, don't expect that they'll be taking the whole thing.
ReplyDeleteIt will be a Five Guys. Permit number B09001673.
ReplyDeleteOne 5 Guys is bad enough. A Checkers or a Long John Silver's or some chain restaurant we don't already have in Columbia would be better. The french fries are so awful you have to drown them in ketchup to get them down. They come out golden brown and quickly turn a dark brown before you can even eat them. Give me MacDonald's, Chick Filet or Arby's french fries anyday over 5 Guys. You've got to be crazy to pay so much for those burgers. Okay, so they grill some veggies and throw them on top if you want, it still doesn't change the fact that the meat is mediocre and usually over-cooked.
ReplyDeleteI'll agree that I'd like to have a Long John Silvers that I don't have to go to a bad neighborhood to eat. Everything else you said is just crazy talk.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the second Five Guys should be opening soon. As predicted it will be in part of the formerr Party Party Party location. The dining room is all tiled. They are hiring and the only thing missing is the tables and chairs.
