New Bean & Burgundy Will Be Sandwiches, Salads, Bakery Along The Line Of Panera

Anyone know details about the new Bean & Burgundy restaurant on Rte 40 in Ellicott City?

We got a little more description from Cindy's comment on the HowChow Facebook page -- namely that Bean & Burgundy's menu will be similar to a Panera with sandwiches, soups, a bakery and a wine bar.  Wine makes separation from Panera, I think.

What else is there to know?  Cindy was quoting the owner of the My Pet Store and More -- who also noted on their Facebook page that the Bean & Burgundy owners hope to open in late August.

    Hey,
Have you seen that Shilla Bakery is opening on Rt 40 in Ellicott City? I have been to the location in Annandale, VA and it is tasty but $$$. Bingsoo, fancy baked goods/coffees, etc. Should be fun to check out. The web site said that they were supposed to open in May but I still see paper up on the windows when I drive by.

  2. I noticed the new sign was uncovered today. There was no "grand opening" banner or the like, but lights were on and it didn't show any signs of construction from the street, so it may or may not be open yet.

  4. Stopped by yesteday and talked to the owner, who confirms a coffee program all day, deli for lunch and more serious menu for evening. Plans are to open in 3 weeks. The counters are set, some booths are in and a large HD TV is in and already working. Wine bar portion will take a while, she doesn't expect a liq license till at least Dec.

  6. Bar Concepts: www.barconceptsinc.com is on site at Bean & Burgundy to work with the Ownership to build an improved dining experience for the citizens of Ellicott City. The big news though is the arrival of Chef Jiin Lee from South Korea. Bean & Burgundy will be focusing on a new customer service driven format and an excellent Asian Fusion & Tapas menu complete with wine pairings to surpass any casual-fine dining restaurant in the city and the Washington DC area. Press releases to follow soon. For further information, you can email us at info@barconceptsinc
