  1. I personally have never been a big fan of their clock tower facades. Some of the smaller stores that used to be in Rochester had a very old facade to them that actually looked very nice and homey. Only about two of those still exist.

  2. Why are people so excited about Wegmans? (Besides job seekers.) I don't see a countdown or updates or construction site photos for new schools, or libraries, or hospitals, or places of worship. What's up with all the hubbub for a grocery store?

It's nice, but... just tell me when it opens. People are posting monthly updates about it like it's their baby. ;)

  3. Angela!

Wegmans is far more than a grocery store in the sense of Giant or Safeway. It is literally a foodie heavan! AMAZING produce, wonderful breads, the best meat selection I have seen (including most butcher shops). You can get Prime grade meats, ultra fresh seafood, terrific prepared meals. There is just SOOO much to it.

This is a food blog after all :P

And Rob summed it up very well. Harris Teeter is a great store, but I'd do all my shopping at Wegmans if I could. Going there will save me trips to my Italian Grocer, butcher and sorry to say Frank's.
