The Elkridge Patch has profiled another new food truck -- this time Willy's Dog House, a hot dog truck that parks at the Hillside Motel on U.S. 1. Elizabeth Janney profiles the truck's owner, who used to manage the seafood department at the Superfresh in Elkridge. He is serving dogs now and looking to expand to pit beef.

ReplyDeleteThis is what makes me not read Patch--too few details that people could actually need. I know that our new internet brains can only take information i short doses, but Patch really dumbs it down.
Also--$2 for water but $1 for soda? Not cool.
Not trying to slam anyone but...in any retail outlet, a can of soda is half the price of a bottle of water.
ReplyDeleteWhen I ran a concession stands years ago before water was the 'thing', bottled water cost more than soda and I charged accordingly. Just saying.....
I was excited to try Willy's Dog House. I hate to say I was disappointed. The burger patty was nothing special other than the fact that it was bigger than the bun. The burger was bland and didn't seem to have been seasoned very well. Anybody can do frozen burger patties and frozen fries. I think Willy's Dog house needs to do something to stand apart from the rest. I would've been happy with a smaller patty the was well seasoned and maybe even fresh.
