Link: Gunpowder Bison Burgers On Sarah Says

The new deck at Sarah's house was christened with bison burgers from Mom's Organic Market in Jessup, which she wrote up on the Sarah Says blog.

Sarah bought the Gunpowder Bison burgers in Mom's small meat section and grilled them with potatoes and the last summer peaches.  If you check out her review, poke around her weekly reviews of her CSA among her posts about food.

  1. Bison burgers are a staple at our house too. On Monday I rubbed them with smoked salt before I grilled them and served with bacon and avocado. Very yum…

  2. That sounds amazing. I'll have to do that next time...

  3. The good folks from Gunpowder are at the Catonsville Farmers market on Sundays. Their hot dogs are as good as their burgers (nice and spicy) and my coworkers swear by their bison jerky.

  4. I was at Coho for 1/2 price burger night last night and got the Bison Burger from Monkton - must be from the same farm, unless there are multiple bison farms in Monkton :)

  5. I love Gunpowder Bison. I get their meat at the C-ville farmers market. I've gotten burgers, ground meat, sausage, liver, and balls. Yes, balls. I recently grilled them, and they were great (http://www.grubgrade.com/2010/08/19/homemade-grilled-bison-balls/)

  6. We love GP Bison. The ground beef makes makes a fantastic chili. IT's great to have something like this locally! Both Roots and MoMs carry their meats. GPB also sells directly from their site, and offers meats, leather, pet food and treats and other items:
