Sarah & Desmond's Bakery and Cafe in downtown Ellicott City appears to be closed. I had heard comments about this, and Wordbones found a district court notice taped to the door yesterday -- as he posted on the
Tales of Two Cities blog. Wendi of
Bon Appetit Hon emailed me that she saw vendor invoices taped to the door as well.
Sarah & Desmond's was a unique little cafe and coffee shop. I always hope that people's troubles are temporary, but the shop will be missed if they're truly gone.
Coffee was always luke warm and service was hit or miss, so they won't be that missed.
ReplyDeleteSarah and Desmond's was great we could go there early in the morning and get muffins or a cup of hot coffee or a cold vitamin-water. If it really is closed we will be bummed out.
ReplyDeleteisn't this the 2nd time they have closed up shop? bummed about cause thats where i would purchase my zekes coffee. anyone know any other local shops that sell it by the pound?
