Whirlz Yogurt Coming To Dorsey Search

Whirlz
The frozen yogurt wave is washing across Dorsey Search with a new Whirlz Yogurt Bar coming to the shopping center off Rte 108.

I don't know Whirlz.  There's a Facebook page that says it is a locally-owned store, not a chain.  The Whirlz will be next to Yama Sushi, which seems like a nice dinner-dessert option.  I assume this will be one of the by-the-ounce yogurt joints, but the sign promises a "twist."

  1. Oh my - the only thing that can make a trip to Yama Sushi even better! We do this sometimes with Burger Place and Tutti Frutti - it'll be nice to do it someplace else!

  2. In other news, Jimmy John's is coming to Route 40 in Ellicott City. I believe they're opening in the strip center of 40 east between the Shanty Grille and McDonald's.

  3. Amazing how the "yogurt by the ounce" has taken over the yogurt business in our area. TCBY seems so out of date these days.

  4. TCBY was a follow-up to the original FY franchise - Everything Yogurt. They were mostly found in mall food courts. That was probably 30 years ago...amazing how certain food trends can cycle in and out of favor. And speaking of new FY shops, I notice that the never opened Frostberry in St. John's Plaza is now going to be a SweetFrog. Any idea when that is going to open?

  5. It'll be great to have a froyo place right in the neighborhood. I can't believe I missed this when I went to Hunan Legend yesterday. I hope it's as good as the YogiCastle near Royal Taj.
