The Mango's Grill restaurant is re-opening in Laurel -- a little farther south from its former location.
Mango's Grill offered casual Mexican to a loyal clientele, but the building was demolished as part of redevelopment of the area around U.S. 1 and Rte 198. So the restauranteurs rented a new space a few blocks south on U.S. 1 -- the former home of India Gate.
George Berkheimer over at the The Business Monthly has been keeping an eye on the space. He says the owners were planning to open the new Mango's Grill in the first week of August. Now, an anonymous comment says that the owners says that they'll open on Thursday.
Oops, posted about this in a previous post about Mango's Grill, but yes! I got an email from the owner (George Molina) today saying that they're reopening tomorrow! I know my husband and I are excited :) Email below:

HowChow, hope all is ok? No updates since 8/1. Perhaps you are on vacation.
ReplyDeleteHowchow, where are you? We miss you....
ReplyDeleteHow Chow where are you? I just found out that the Anne's House of Nuts store is closing and haven't seen anyone reporting of this. It certainly caught me off guard. The offices will be moved, but no more store!
ReplyDeleteHowChow, we miss you! Hope all is well, and that you're just on vacation. Come back soon.
ReplyDeleteWell he retweeted something 4 days ago, so maybe he is just taking a break.
ReplyDeleteThe new Mango's Grill has more seating, and the same menu - for now. Owner George Molina says they are going to be expanding the menu in the fall.
ReplyDeleteWe miss you too, HowChow! Hope all is well.
