Kupcakes & Co. Has Opened In Elkridge

The new Kupcakes & Co. bakery opened officially last weekend in Elkridge.  A HowChow correspondent has been dispatched to check it out this week, but you should stop for a sweet and then report back yourself.

  1. I stumbled upon your blog a few weeks ago, and have had a chance to finally read much of what you had/have to say.

I am excited to take my kids to Kupcakes & co, but am extremely curious to read what you have to say before we do!

I love your blog! We love to try new places and from reading this morning I can't wait to try a few of your suggestions!

  2. I just ordered two dozen for an end of the yr school party for a group of 2-3 yr old (and their parents). I emailed Michelle to see if they make mini cupcakes but they don't. She was very nice & is going to put a little less icing than usual on them so that the kiddies don't all eat tons of sugar! Can't wait to try them.

  3. I've often seen you mention Jesse Wong's Asean Bistro - did you see today's living social deal for "Baltimore"? $15 for $30 to spend on Pan Asian. Looks like I finally have an excuse to check it out :)

  5. I found their cupcakes to be extremely subpar (oil instead of butter). But, they are definitely pretty.

  6. I picked up a dozen assorted cupcakes for my husband's birthday today. The cupcakes are good and the frosting is not too overly sweet, but just looking at the box it's clear there is a consistency issue. Some are clearly larger than others!

The assortment I got contained Snickerdoodle, Chocolate Creamsicle, Vanilla w/chocolate, Chocolate w/Vanilla, Cookies and Cream (fave!), Red Velvet, Key Lime, and Almond Joy. There were more flavors than that to choose from on the racks.

A dozen (with a free, smaller -- maybe on purpose -- cupcake as a bonus) was $25.

PS: I'm very late in saying thanks for the sidebar link, but thank you so much!

  8. I just tried Kupcakes and ordered one dozen. My favorite cupcakes have been Touchet Touchet for the last few years and have accompanied me to every little event including my daughter's second bday party!
Kupcakes is clearly a girly, CUTE store. The unfortunate part is that it's in a terrible spot, hidden away behind a new shopping center off 103. The flavor list is enormous with many great sounding cakes. My favorite is salted caramel so far. The cakes are moist and the frosting is delicious. I do wish that some had a bit of filling inside, like the Touchet Touchet Red Velvet. I think they ARE much more manageable and less dense than others, but I would appreciate a little more Umphh.
