Portalli's in Ellicott City is today's Groupon -- $40 in food for $19. That's a fun place for upscale Italian food and definitely worth trying with a $20 discount.
Hi HowChow, thanks for this! We got our groupon and headed to Portalli's last night. I had the house salad (greens, goat cheese, walnuts and a poached pear) which was great. And the shrimp and lobster rissotto special. Nice, but too heavy handed on the pickled peppers. BF had the pizza appetizer, which has crab and more of those pickled peppers. Best dish of the night was the grilled branzino. Perfectly cooked and juicy. The house was packed which slowed the service to the point where we were twidling our thumbs and humming a monotonous tune while waiting for our dinner. But it's all good.
