Anyone Know Where To Find Venison Sausage?

Anyone know where to buy venison sausage?  Amelia picked up some pork sausage from Boarman's to spice up her Thanksgiving stuffing.  I haven't seen venison there or at the Laurel Meat Market.

Anyone have a hookup for deer sausage?  Or German sausage of any kind?  The folks at Ellicott City Brewing told Amelia that they get their venison sausage from a place called Baker's.  Does that ring a bell? Anything closer than the German Gourmet in Falls Church?

  1. Try Simply Sausage. It isn't on their list of products, but they make have a rotating special.

  2. The Laurel Meat Market on Main Street has been known to have venison and other wild game. I think it would be worth a call.

  3. Wegmans carries D'Artagnan products and sometimes have venison sausages in stock. The other alternative is to order directly from D'Artagnan.com.

  5. I work next door to Cafe Mozart in DC (13th, H & NY Ave.). They usually have it or can get it relatively quickly. They also have real German stollen and marzipan.

  6. Scittino's in Catonsville...They make their own sausages, from bangers, to Lithuanian sausage. I don't know about venison, but give them a call. (410) 788-2369

  8. Thanks to everyone for the suggestions! On Saturday we took a field trip to German Gourmet and found some tasty sounding venison and cranberry sausage in the freezer case. We also picked up a few other varieties of fresh sausage and some pretzels. I think we'll check out some of these other suggestions next weekend.

Any one tried the sage sausage from Yates Market on Main Street in Ellicott City?
