It had to be either H-Mart or Super Grand - what other options could there have been? We don't have Wegmans or Whole Foods, and the small middle eastern and Mexican groceries, while exotic, are too small

I just moved back to Howard county from Toronto, and I absolutely love to eat. I just wanted to make a quick comment being that my dad is west indian, and the foods we grew up on. Jamaicans and trinidadians, west indians love chinese food, and all types of potatoes, lettuce/cabbage. It's really diverse, so hence that west indian market places would have a lot of diversity. I have to check this spot out because I love where they sell cultural variety as it seems much harder to find certain things here.
ReplyDelete@Khadija -- Actually, it's not a West Indian store. Super Grand is a Korean-owned supermarket. Great place. They're similar to the H Mart in Catonsville or Lotte in Ellicott City, but they seem to cater to a wider variety of cuisines -- including the West Indian section, the Indian section, several rows of Mexican, etc. Check it out.
