Think about Frank's Seafood on Sunday because they were giving away crabs on Saturday.
Not free crabs. But the cold crabs -- steamed this morning and completely delicious -- were on special. They were $1 each or buy-a-dozen-get-a-dozen-free depending on the size. Those are some nice deals. I got a half dozen of the $1 crabs and filled a bowl with picked meat.
Frank's in Jessup says its Sunday hours are 12-5. They have crab meat and crab cakes to go with the hardshells. They also have a wide variety of fish and seafood. I considered a dozen oysters. They were offering samples. But fish and crab were more than enough for us tonight.
Now we'e've got a plan for Sunday lunch. Thanks for the tip!
ReplyDeleteIs it 1 for 1 on Sunday too or was it just for Saturday?
ReplyDelete@Leeann -- I don't know about Sunday. They were still putting out crabs at like 2 pm on Saturday so I assume they had a big supply. Give them a call on Sunday!
ReplyDeleteFranks has the $1 crabs quite often in the fall, so keep your eyes peeled for them. I think crabs are better this time of year, anyway !
ReplyDeleteDon't go too close to closing time. I was there about 5 minutes before closing time a few Sundays ago. Everything was being put away, and they weren't willing to help me nor the other people arriving at that time. One lady was particularly miffed, having just called Frank's to say she was on her way.
ReplyDeleteWe went on Sunday and got a dozen of the $1 crabs-- good deal for a buck! It was a great dinner for two. Thanks for the tip! We'll be keeping our eyes peeled for this again.
