What Is "The Blue Goose" In Ellicott City?

In downtown Ellicott City, there is now a sign saying that "The Blue Goose" is coming soon to the spot formerly home to Sarah and Desmond's Bakery and Cafe, according to a comment by Wendi.

Wendi had spotted people working there over the weekend.  Does anyone know what The Blue Goose will be?  Restaurant?  Design store?  Combination paint-your-own-pottery and poultry slaughtering?  (Hey, it's working for pottery and coffee.)

(Update: On the HowChow Facebook page, W. Edward Lilley wrote that The Blue Goose will be an upscale consignment shop.  That will need to be reviewed by the upscale consignment blog.)

  1. It's not a food place.

  2. uhh yeah..well that's dumb...if not food at least something good for that corner..there are alot of wastes of space shops down there..and nowhere really comfortable like a social lounge-that doesn't have beer pong, loud annoying music or a wine snob trying to tell you about a wine that you can't buy anywhere else..the coffee shop on the far end is nice but isn't as relaxing..nor is cacao lane or diamond back-pounding beers is fun but when those bars get busy and overwhelmed, the only place to go is outside and that too is cramped...a middle of the road spot for those who need to talk or set up a reundevous later on especially on that busy end of main street is what is needed. not another curiosity shop that is only open from 1pm -5pm...

there is a place, but it's a secret. look for blue lights above johnny's bistro on main. it's really chill, plus great cocktails

  4. been there-ehh..at least i can see my car from that height..its a bit to mellow for me..don't get me wrong-I liked the place but a bit stiff still..also it helps if it had some sort of social following as oppose to a hideout..maybe a draw for jazz or blues and not another bar playing Sirius all night..I'm there to socialize and not be put to sleep..
