Buffalo Wild Wings is coming to Columbia -- specifically to the spot on Dobbin Road where the old Rocky Run restaurant is being demolished, says Wordbones on Tales of Two Cities (look at the third post). No word on the timeline.
The same Wordbones posts says a a group of people are going to open Cazbar Kebap in the Columbia Professional Center on Little Patuxent Parkway.
(Update: Cazbar Kepab is open in Columbia.)
Totally unrelated but Baltimore Sun's gotten around to Bon Fresco and the review is very good!

Yessss! We had a Bdub's in my college town, and I have so missed their 30 cent wing Tuesdays! They have so many sauce options, and their wings are great!
ReplyDeletethey are great and as a sign of the times it is now 40 cent wings on Tues and 40 cent boneless wings on Thurs
ReplyDeleteThe way that plaza is set up, is awful. It is kind of a nightmare getting to (across from Walmart, the lights, the entrances with jutting curbs)..
ReplyDeleteHopefully this place will team up w/ carryoutmenu
The problem with this plaza is that it is so hidden from the road that you almost have to be a regular for the business to survive. They aren't going to get randoms that stop in after seeing it from the road. The track record for "decent" establishments has not been good. i.e Atlanta Bread company, Cal Tortilla, Z pizza. These are all thriving businesses in most locations...here they go out of business.
ReplyDeleteGreat, more trash food for a trashy location. Maybe a Sam's Club should go there just to tighten up the traffic on Dobbin a little more. Stay classy Columbia.
ReplyDeleteTo Anon (March 28): You're thinking of a different shopping center. Where this is going is off of Dobbin Rd, where Rocky Run used to be. You're thinking of the newer shopping center off of McGraw Rd, which is where Atlanta Bread company, Cal Tortilla, Z pizza all were.
ReplyDeleteThe .40 wings are now .45 at College Park but that is still a great bargain for me. That's 50 wings for my family for under $25 (poor chickens).
ReplyDeleteOn the website you have to enter a location before it will give you the special Tuesday wing price so they must give regions or stores some discretion on this.
Looking forward to some good stuff. Haven't been this excited since the old Bill Bateman's at River Hill days.
