The Sun's wonderful Dining @ Large blog listed 10 places to hear good jazz while you eat. Howard County boasts three: Cafe de Paris (Tuesday and Fridays), Donna's (Saturday nights), Jordan's Steakhouse (Thursday evenings).
kelsey's in normandy shopping plaza, rte 40 ellicott city, has a nice sunday brunch buffet with excellent jazz musicians. i would pay just to listen and chill out to their playing. i mean, they're really good. plus if any of you howchowhounds are in a frequent flyer or frequent hotel stay program, kelsey's is on several lists of restaurants where you can earn yourself miles/points if you join an affiliated dining program and eat there. not meant to be an ad, but hey there are several reasons to enjoy kelsey's! it kept my united miles from expiring last month!
