They have a clearance rack on the far wall of the back room, which is usually populated by 10-gallon buckets of honey and other outsized products of limited use to consumers, but you'll occasionally find a gem.

HowlCook is right on ho.co.pohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08015145141657999016noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6242128247197293599.post-38248179914053799432009-02-18T12:53:00.000-05:002009-02-18T12:53:00.000-05:00Just an FYI: Paco's Paints now looks to be closed,...Just an FYI: Paco's Paints now looks to be closed, and the Papusa/Taco/Torta truck has moved across the street and further down Rt. 1Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6242128247197293599.post-23213324216214650382009-02-16T17:32:00.000-05:002009-02-16T17:32:00.000-05:00A great food & snack retail shop is Ann’s Hous...A great food & snack retail shop is Ann’s House of Nuts at 8375 Patuxent Range Rd in Jessup right off Route 1 not too far from Route 32. This place has lots of nuts, dried fruits, trail mix, candy and other cooking ingredients. The products seem to range from near expiration and overruns (great prices) to first quality (good prices). This place truly fits the difficult to find category even HowICookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02692807543776940273noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6242128247197293599.post-5764154761522744642009-02-14T18:43:00.000-05:002009-02-14T18:43:00.000-05:00Thanks to both of you. Mrs. HowChow and I both still stumble on places -- including places that we would never have found except that someone commented about them here.HowChowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14214893123333124514noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6242128247197293599.post-27026830141446704832009-02-14T15:28:00.000-05:002009-02-14T15:28:00.000-05:00For an interesting food and restaurant supply shop...For an interesting food and restaurant supply shopping experience in the same area, I recommend the Sysco Food Services retail store at 7540 Washington Blvd (Route 1) in Elkridge. The store carries a variety of frozen food, fresh food, pantry items and kitchen supplies. Some of the prices are outstanding but others are downright steep. The quantities tend to be large. They found fast food places easily enough, so for those two weeks they ate out every night until they finally spotted one of our elusive supermarkets.
