It's got great ideas for making beans in an hour vs 2-3 days, a chart for how to substitute for seasonal vegetables, etc! The author writes nicely too - recipes are easy to understand.Visit us Hail Damage Claimshttp://www.krwlawyers.com/_start_hail-damage-claims-san-antonio-tx.phpnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6242128247197293599.post-67028838908540306962011-04-25T21:51:38.384-04:002011-04-25T21:51:38.384-04:00I absolutely love Mark Bittman's newest Food M...I absolutely love Mark Bittman's newest Food Matters cookbook - I cooked over a dozen of the recipes, and while not everything turned out perfectly (in fact the Cauliflower Mac and Cheese was revolting), all in all this book was full of great ideas for healthy eating. I review it in greater detail on my blog, at http://wp.me/pJmIX-nL

Also, his Dal with Lots of Vegetables, which youAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6242128247197293599.post-16800723029658558802011-02-18T10:22:55.789-05:002011-02-18T10:22:55.789-05:00Bittman is awesome. And I agree, the iPhone app is outstanding.

I like the ideas behind this book - I look forward to checking it out.P90 Noirhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10796786147607789224noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6242128247197293599.post-52918687266735297062011-02-14T13:56:50.826-05:002011-02-14T13:56:50.826-05:00This looks great!! Great prices and variety mean that people can experiment without spending a fortune. I hit up the organic markets for lentils and dried beans, but you're right the Asian markets (and the Indian ones) do that too.

I'm amused that you think Bittman's book is HowChowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14214893123333124514noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6242128247197293599.post-46677881464995610962011-02-14T11:43:47.821-05:002011-02-14T11:43:47.821-05:00I’m a huge consumer of Mark Bittman products. His iPhone app for the latest version of “How to Cook Everything” is simply the best cooking app around. The linked features and the search engine make it so. I use it almost every day as a quick reference, inspiration or for an entire recipe.

I HowICookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02692807543776940273noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6242128247197293599.post-88247930715483418752011-02-14T09:05:01.439-05:002011-02-14T09:05:01.439-05:00Can't wait to try those soups.
