Can anyone confirm that Buffalo Wild Wings is coming to Columbia?
I heard talk that one of the restaurants has closed near Target on Rte 175. I'm not sure. No one answers the phone there. But the chatter is that Buffalo Wild Wings would replace the restaurant. Chain for chain, but that's area has a pretty good variety with BGR The Burger Joint, Maiwand Kabob, and others.
Years ago, there had been talk of a Buffalo Wild Wings in the space that became the Alehouse Columbia, but that turned out to be premature. Anyone know these plans? Hat tip to Alicyn.
(Update: See the comments below. It appears that Don Pablo has closed -- to be replaced by the Buffalo Wild Wings.)

which resgtaurant closed? would have liked BWW instead of alehouse
Check the building permits issued in October for Howard Co. Was browsing through them yesterday and noticed BWW and Columbia Crossing mentioned on one and wondered this myself.
@Cindy -- Was there an address on the building permit? That would confirm that the other restaurant is closed.
It's hard to tell - I just looked up the building permits for Oct. 2013 online at:
http://www.howardcountymd.gov/displayprimary.aspx?id=6442460114
On page 6, it does state Buffalo Wild Wings and has the Property Owner Address of "Columbia Tex-Mex LLC"
The address goes back to Don Pablo's. Much better use of that space!
Just called Don Pablos and the person answering the phone said they are no longer open.
Don Pablos closed?! No way! I loved their ribs fajitas. Buffalo Wild Wings is weak sauce.
Last time I looked on TripAdvisor for Columbia - they had Don Pablo's ranked last (this was maybe about 4 months ago). They always had terrible service in my opinion. I'm so excited for Buffalo Wild Wings.
We went to Don Pablos once and had a horrible experience. The food was just ok, but the service was downright awful. Made even more so by the fact that they weren't busy.
Never been to BWW but willing to give it a shot.
I'm a former employee of Don Pablos Columbia. I worked there up until the last day of service. Buffalo Wild Wings did purchase the building. And now I'm out of a job right at the holidays. last day of service there was 11/10/2013
that sucks, don pablos was a great place to go to get fresh made tortillas. i always got them when i made tacos at home.
Just what we need, another crappy chain restaurant.
I work for the bww franchise in MD and there will be a buffalo wild wings in Columbia...should be opening this summer 2014 if all goes planned
I drove by the new location the other day. The sign says they'll be open on May 18 at 11:00 AM
They are open, at least as of 05/26/14
