It can be tough to figure out Howard County. HowChow started in many ways as my vehicle for finding new restaurants and markets after I found myself in Ellicott City.
New people became the theme for me writing a series of posts. Not a comprehensive guide. Not everything. But a chance to talk about many of the places that I've learned about and enjoyed. I'd been playing with the "round up" idea for a while, and the theme made it seem fun.
In a HowChow first, these posts will be sponsored by Alicyn DelZeppo, a real estate agent who has been a regular commentator on the blog. Do you have a friend looking at Howard County? Forward the posts. I'll suggest good food. Alicyn will get them a house.
Looking forward to the "Welcome Home" Series!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Thanks HowChow, and thank you Alicyn for sponsoring this great idea.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to this! We are just moving back to Howard County after a 3-year hiatus and we can't wait to start eating out at some of the new restaurants.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget Western Hoco please!
ReplyDelete(BTW, has anyone tried the 'redesigned' Shanty Grill, Ton'y Pizzeria, or the Sedona Grill)
We're looking forward to it too! Though relatively new to following the HowChow blog, we've already enjoyed trying out several new places we read about here, including Linda's bakery, Tandoor Grill, & Facci's. Royal Taj & the new grocery store in Long Reach are next on our list. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteTried Shanty Grill a week or two after the changesl...nice decor in lobby but felt that most of the restaurant was still the same. New menu items in the appetizer section though and they were good. Service was just ok. Haven't gone back yet to see if it has improved even more though. Tony's Pizza in Clarksville seems the same as it has in the last year but the decor has changed
ReplyDeleteI'll put my vote for Indian on Royal Taj. It upstaged House of India as my favorite Indian restaurant about a year ago and I haven't looked back. The dinner atmosphere is great and they have great special touches for the buffet.
ReplyDeleteWhere is Tony's Pizza?
ReplyDeleteAnthony's (Tony's) Pizza is in Clarksville off of Route 108 in the shopping center where Wendy's is. It used be a Pasta Blitz.
